Apply tags to files
Add tags to files to make them easy to find. Tag one file or hundreds at once.
Tag multiple files
- Select files:
- Click to select one
- Shift + click for a range
- ⌘/Ctrl + click to add individual files
- Drag to rubber-band select

Select files, then press T to open the tag editor

Press T or click Tag in the action bar

The tag editor shows:
- Applied to all — Tags on every selected file
- In some files — Tags on some but not all (the number shows how many)
- Available tags — Tags you can add

The number next to each tag shows how many selected files have that tag. Click to add or remove.
Tag a single file
Open the inspect panel with Space, then find the Tags section and click to edit.

Create tags on the fly
Requires Manage tags permission.
You can create new tags directly from the tag editor:
- Select one or more files
- Press T to open the tag editor
- Type a tag name that doesn’t exist
- Press Enter to create the tag and apply it

Type a new name and press Enter to create and apply a tag
The new tag is created with the default gray color. To change the color, go to Admin → Tags.
