Branches Design are a small dedicated creative team based in the North West of England. Part of our team often work from home and need access to files and resources for current projects. The usual method was to copy stuff onto our USB flash drives from our main server in the office. This could often result in versioning problems with files getting out of sync. Often, you'd miss copying something which would mean a trip back to the office. Not good.
We stumbled across the link to Fluxiom from one of the CSS gallery website's (can't remember which) and instantly it became apparent that Fluxiom was the very tool we needed. We asked the developers if they'd let us be part of their private beta programme and they kindly accepted us onboard. Fluxiom quickly became not just a useful add-on, but an integral resource, allowing us to work pretty much anywhere we can get an internet connection. The bonus of being able to assign users, privileges and access rights is just the icing on the cake meaning the team can really work together, anywhere.
Using Fluxiom, you can easily forget you are actually using a web-based application as it looks and functions every bit as good - if not better - than similar desktop based applications. It truly is a joy to use. The user-interface is simple, clean and so intuitive anyone can use it in minutes - just how a good app should be.
As far as we're concerned, Fluxiom is the best application in it's field and an excellent product in it's own right that no design or media company should be without.
Keep up the good work guys - can't wait to see what you've got in store for version 2 of Fluxiom!
